It has great dynamic range (I can easily drown out my vocals), and sounds amazingly like a banjo - fingerpicked, like a 5-string, or strummed, like a tenor, it can really drive a song. Pure Americana, destined to be an heirloom. I have a couple of mid-20th century banjoleles, with soprano necks - they sound cool, but compared to my Beansprout, they sound like toys...
