Aaron Keim

"As a professional musician and luthier, I am very picky about my instruments. Gordon and Char have built for me a lap steel uke and a concert resonator uke. The quality is top notch, the fit and finish is perfect and the sound is wonderful. I am happy to have Mya-Moe support me and my band Boulder Acoustic Society!"

Alex Becrelis

"All I can really say is that you and Char have made me a smelly person... why you ask?? because I can't put the ukulele down long enough to even want to take a shower. It's sooooooo amazing.. I have just never played something so amazing until I played this ukulele, so I didn't know one like this could exist. Something I look for in an instrument aside from tonal, visual, and structural aspect is whether or not it inspires song writing and this one does. I don't think I will ever really play another uke. I absolutely love it."

Ben Bonham

"Big sound, great feel. Problem is - I can't stop playing it! That's how I really feel - and, I am sitting here, as we speak, supposed to be making the second of 44 windows for my sweetie's house, and I am playing the damn thing instead! Damn you, Mayers and your evil voodoo instrument!"

Brook Adams

"If ukulele is an orchestra in a lunchbox, this Mya-Moe soprano is like a French picnic in a basket"

Craig Chee

"Gordon & Char's instruments inspire me to be a better musician. I feel really blessed to have such a great opportunity to be part of the creative process on making such fine instruments! I'm excited to see & hear how not only the sound of my playing will improve but the understanding & appreciation of that building process too."

Danielle Ate the Sandwich

"Whenever I take my Mya Moe ukulele out of its case, every one oohs and ahhs! When I play my Mya Moe ukulele, you can hear a pin drop! Thanks to Char and Gordon, I have found an instrument that will help me grow as a professional musician. My only concern is that this ukulele might be a better singer than me!"

Dave Mullany

"I love this beautiful uke! The resonator and myrtle wood combination delivers a clear resonant tone which hangs in the air. The tone is wonderfully balanced and the uke has an excellent dynamic response to changes as I play. All this in addition to the fact that it is just gorgeous! My heartfelt thanks to you both. The care you put into this uke sounds with each note!"

Emily Hurd

"I have played many ukuleles in my time, but none as fine as my Mya Moe. The soprano Mya Moe has a tone and timbre that I haven't heard on a uke before; the sound is light but rich, and it has a strong presence when I play in a group. This instrument has made me a more prolific songwriter, a more tasteful arranger, and a happier person."

Ernie Halter

"I can't stop talking about the Chocolate Heart Mango Tenor you and Gordon made for me. Its stunningly beautiful. Its sweet and warm, and sings with perfect intonation, and I love it. I couldn't help recording a bit of it on nearly every song on the new record! This tenor ukulele looks and plays better than any guitar I've ever had. I just wish every instrument I played was as well made as this one. Thank you so much!"

James Hill

"The Mya-moe slide uke is a joy. Lyrical, full-bodied tone with just enough gritty melancholy to give it depth and personality. What an intoxicating sound!"

Kate Power

"Playing my Mya Moe Lili'U moves me... The action is seamless, smooth and natural. As my fingers change gears, my Mya Moe stays with me, so responsive that it drives my playing right into the bliss spot that comes with handling a truly fine instrument with no backtalk. Expressive, transparent clarity, beautiful action and exquisite beauty inhabits the tiny form of the mighty Mya Moe and raises the bar of fine ukuleles to new heights of enjoyment and satisfaction."

Larry Wyatt

"I am selling all my other ukuleles. This is the only one I will ever play!"

Lil' Rev

"Over the years, I have played many Ukuleles always searching for just the right combination of action, tone, and visual appeal. Mya-Moe has achieved an incomparable level of sophistication with its reso-phonic line of tenors, I highly endorse these Ukuleles!!! -Lil Rev"

Marianne Brogan

"The Mya-Moe Soprano Tradition is the sweetest soprano I've played. Beautifully handcrafted, but more important, light, loud, lots of sustain and projection."

Mark Nelson

"I love my new resonator 'ukulele! Not only is it beautiful, but it sounds great and plays like a dream-just the thing for pounding out those old 'ukulele blues."

Moe Dixon

"The ukuleles Gordon & Char built are simply the best I've ever played. This is a magical workhorse for me."

Paul Luongo

"It is always difficult when searching for an instrument, yet alone a ukulele, to find that beautiful clarity, resonance, and warmth in the sound. After getting past the visually outstanding craftsmanship of my Mya-Moe, the first few chords only further solidified my love with the instrument. My new Mya-Moe represents everything I would want out of an ukulele. It enables me to feel confident in my playing, be it day or night, not wanting to put it down!"

Peter Luongo

"Speaking as an ukulele player of Italian descent, my first reaction to playing my Mya-Moe was 'Mamma Mia'! The instrument is a pleasure to play. I literally can't put it down and feel honoured to own such a finely crafted and magnificent sounding instrument. I am the envy of Langley's Ukulele playing community. The instrument is a thing of beauty - a masterpiece the likes of which Michelangelo would be proud!"

Ralph Shaw

"It has been a delight and a privilege to work with Gord and Char in the creation of Brunhild the Baritone ukulele. When we first talked about Brunhild I described the certain sound that I needed to hear in a great baritone ukulele. My main requirement was that the instrument should have a big sound, loud and full. I wanted it to possess a certain power; a quality that I kept referring to as 'Oomf'. G and C went to work and along the way they taught me about the acoustical properties of various tone-woods. I also learned about the importance of string types. The process has given me a greater respect for the balancing act of crafting looks, playability and sound that is the art of luthiery. I now own a beautiful baritone ukulele whose 'Oomf' factor is second to none."

Rick Hulett

"My Mya-moe uke is in a class by itself. It somehow seems to combine an extremely warm tone with the ability to cut through in any playing situation. The response is balanced and even from the lowest note to the extreme highs. No matter what I throw at it, it is ready to go. If I had to sum up the way I feel about the uke it would perfectly balanced."

Scott Aller

"I do all of my song writing on my ukes. I can take them anywhere no matter how I'm traveling. Playing a uke in general is a topic of discussion, but when you bust out a resonator uke, and especially one that sounds and looks as good as my Mya-Moe, you're immediately in the spotlight."

Scott McCormick

"I love the dark sound, dark color and wonderful feel of this instrument. Gordon and Char are two of the kindest, most wonderful people I've met in all of my travels. Their personality is reflected in every ukulele they turn out. Warm kind hearts make warm kind instruments, and these two prove it."

Steve Einhorn

"Every once in a while you pick up an instrument that feels right at home in your hands, like one you've been playing for a lifetime. My Mya-Moe is such an instrument. I love playing it. It's always ready and willing to perform beautifully... ...there's nothing amusing or cute about Gordon and Char Mayer's ukuleles. Kate and I recently performed with our Mya-Moe ukes in a beautiful 650 seat theatre to a full house. When we began to play them, not only did the audience seemed mesmerized, but the other performers backstage couldn't tell us enough how impressed they were with the sound emanating from these small instruments."

Tobias Nielsen

"My Mya-Moe Tenor Classic is a real quality 'ukulele, which would be impossible to find here in Denmark. Every day I give thanks that Gordon and Char made me professional 'ukulele with style and neat finish. I enjoy every moment playing it."
