1. What is the delivery estimate if I order an instrument?

You can always find the latest estimated delivery dates on the Order Page, as they are automatically updated each time we add an order to our database. The delivery dates vary by model. Current delivery dates are:

Next Available Start

November 21, 2012

Projected Finish

December 17, 2012

2. Do you meet your estimated delivery dates?

We have never missed a delivery date. We work in a very organized an methodical manner. We start and finish one to two instruments each day we work in the shop. We know exactly what days we are going to work in the shop, and exactly how long each instrument takes to build, so our start & string dates are very exact.

For all instruments, we have UkeTracker which allows you to track the progress of your ukulele on a daily basis.

3. Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a $300 deposit reserves your spot in our build schedule.

4. When is the balance due?

The balance is due when we complete the instrument. On the day we string your ukulele, we'll send you an email with a link to the final pictures, as well as instructions on how to pay the balance.

You are welcome to pay all or part of the balance earlier, if you wish.

5. Do I need to know all the instrument details before I order?

No. You are welcome to put down a $300 deposit (you can find pay buttons on this page) to reserve a start date in our schedule. Since the delivery schedule varies between the Traditions and the other models, it is best to know your model before you reserve a start date. You don't need to finalize your configuration until 6 weeks before your official start date.

6. Can I change my configuration after I have ordered?

Yes! You can change it up until 6 weeks before your official start date. At that time, we start elements of your instrument such as the neck & fretboard and we insure that we have all the correct wood & bindings available for your specific ukulele.

However, changing models to/from a Tradition might have a significant impact on your schedule, so we recommend not placing your order until you've made that decision.

7. Can I choose any combination of woods for my headplate?

No. The headplates are constructed in relatively large blocks, which are then sawn, re-glued, re-sawn and cut down to make individual headplates (you can watch a video of the process here). As a result, we only offer 3 different varieties of our signature headplate:

* leopardwood & maple (our standard)

* cherry & leopardwood (lower contrast)

* ebony & maple (high contrast)

In some cases, we can put on a solid wood headplate that uses the same wood as the body of the ukulele.

8. What other custom options do you offer?

The majority of our options are listed on our pricing page. In general, these are the only options that we offer. If you need or want a custom option, you should contact us before ordering.

9. Do you ship outside of the United States?

Yes. We ship via USPS. The cost is +$80 for any of the Tradition models, and +$50 for the Classic, Resonators and Lap Steels.

10. Can I make a full or partial payment before the instrument is complete?

Yes. You can use this page to make a payment on your balance:
