Walnut

R37

Walnut is another gorgeous domestic hardwood. It yields a tone that is relatively bright--somewhat brighter than cherry but not quite as bright as maple.

It is a wonderful choice for a resonator, giving a slight cone-forward tone. It has an excellent presence and sustain, with clear note definition.

In a classic, it definitely shows a bright tone, but will mellow over time as the instrument opens up.
