If you're looking for a dark colored, warm toned wood, and you want something that is visually dramatic, Quilted Sapele may be the choice for you.

 

The quilted figuring in this wood is very tight giving it an almost holographic appearance.

 

The tone is wonderfully warm, making it an excellent choice for a classic. In a resonator, it won't have quite the pronounced voice of some of the brighter woods, but it will sound beautifully acoustics as it it has some very slight amplification.
