Pau Rosa

 

 

Pau Rosa is a subtlelly beautiful wood. The grain tends to be very regular, but it spans a color spectrum of pink, red and rose (thus the name).

 

We have built both classics and resonators from this imported hardwood, and they are wonderful instruments. In a classic, it yields a bright tone with great sustain, and in the resonator it gives a relatively cone-forward sound.
