Myrtle is a stunning domestic hardwood which grows plentifully on the Southern Oregon coast. We often get sets that have tight curl, and, as can be seen from the pictures, the grain is distinct with tones of tan, green and brown.

Acoustically, myrtle falls in the middle of our spectrum. It offers a wonderful blend of warmth, sustain, depth and brilliance. It is a wonderful choice for a resonator, delivering the warmth of wood with the brilliance of a reso-phonic instrument.

Myrtle is Gordon's favorite wood for a Mya-Moe Resonator model.
