Cherry is a simply stunning domestic hardwood that has wonderful acoustic properties.

 

It is nearly in the middle of the sound spectrum, delivering a balance of warm tones and bright notes. Representing the entire acoustic spectrum from treble to bass very well, it also has great sustain.

 

Long prized as a tonewood, in combination with a cedar or spruce top it is a wonderful ukulele wood.
